• Allowing additional travel time due to traffic and security screening
• Having a valid photo ID ready before reaching the entrance

Please note that guests arriving later in the evening may experience extended wait times and delayed entry due to increased attendance volumes and security procedures.

Transportation & Parking

The Primary Event Site Access Point is located on the south corner of Commissioners Street and Don Roadway.

Recommended Ways to Arrive

• Rideshare services (Uber, Lyft, Taxi)
• Public transit (TTC) — four routes service the surrounding area: 114 Queens Quay East · 72/72C Pape · 83 Jones · 325 Don Mills
• Water taxi
• Bike Share — additional stations and capacity will be available nearby
• Walk, if possible

Designated Rideshare Drop-Offs

There are two designated rideshare drop-off locations:

• 160 Don Roadway — north of the intersection with Commissioners Street
• 185 Villiers Street

There will be a strong police presence in the area and vehicles will be denied access to any other drop-off location.

Primary Parking Location

185 Villiers St.

Secondary parking (not recommended): 80 Commissioners St · 20 Polson St · 176 Cherry St. These lots are further from the site, will be slow to clear after the event, and should be used only as a last resort.

Security, Safety & Event Compliance

The safety of all guests is our highest priority. The event site will have:

• Uniformed police officers throughout the venue
• Police presence at entry and exit points
• Active roaming security teams
• K-9 unit at entry and exit points
• On-site EMS and medical personnel
• Dedicated Guest Services staff

See Something, Say Something

If you witness suspicious, unsafe, or disruptive behaviour, immediately notify event staff, security personnel, or Guest Services.

All guests must comply with instructions provided by event staff, security personnel, police officers, and emergency responders at all times. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without refund.

Restricted Areas

Biidaasige Park

Biidaasige Park is a culturally and environmentally significant public space that reflects Indigenous history, stewardship, and ecological restoration along Toronto’s waterfront. To help protect this newly established park and its sensitive natural areas, guests are asked to remain within designated event and pedestrian zones and not enter or walk through the park.

We appreciate your cooperation in respecting this important community space. Compliance will be monitored by festival staff and law enforcement throughout the event.

There will be police present at the parking locations, the walkways to the venue, and the venue itself.

Entry Requirements

Age Requirement

This is a 19+ event. All guests must present valid government-issued photo identification.

Entry Screening

All guests will undergo:

• Full security screening
• Bag inspection
• Metal detector
• Physical search / pat-down
• K-9 unit screening

Entry May Be Denied To Anyone Who

• Appears intoxicated
• Displays disorderly behaviour
• Refuses security screening
• Possesses prohibited items
• Creates a safety concern

No Re-Entry Policy

Taraka — Gordo × Francis Mercier has a strict no re-entry policy. Table service guests may only access the event grounds via the entrances corresponding with their access type or accreditation (if applicable), or as otherwise directed by the Event Organisers outside the venue.

Inside the venue, guests must ensure that their wristband is available for inspection at the request of the Event Organisers and/or law enforcement at any time.

Table Service Check-In & Entry Procedures

Upon Arrival

• Proceed to the Table Service Check-In tent.
• Complete identification verification.
• Collect your wristband(s).
• Be escorted directly to your reserved table.

Dedicated Table Service Access

After collecting wristbands, all table service guests must enter through the designated Table Service Entrance.

Table Assignment Notice

Table locations are subject to change without prior notice due to operational, production, or safety requirements. Event Management reserves the right to relocate reservations as necessary while making every reasonable effort to provide a comparable table experience.

Wristbands

Wristbands are required for access to table service areas.

• Your wristband gives you access to your table area (section) and the Table Service & Backstage Washrooms.
• Wristbands will be issued during check-in.
• Wristbands must remain securely attached throughout the event.
• Lost, damaged, removed, or transferred wristbands may be deemed invalid.
• Security reserves the right to deny access to any areas without a valid wristband.

Table Service & Hosting

Each table service section will be supported by:

• A dedicated host
• A dedicated platform manager
• Dedicated bottle service staff
• Dedicated support staff

Payment & Billing

Prepaid Reservations

Any prepaid deposits or reservation amounts will be applied directly toward your table balance.

Additional Consumption

Should your party exceed the prepaid amount:

• Additional purchases will be charged on a cash and carry basis.
• All outstanding balances must be settled on-site before departure.

Food Pre-Orders

To enhance your table service experience, gourmet food boxes curated by Food Dudes are available for pre-order. We offer two options priced at $200 and $300, before 22% service fee and taxes.

Food Box Information

• Available exclusively through advance order
• Food is not part of minimum spend and needs to be prepaid
• Delivered within a 30-minute window of your selected time
• Delivered directly to your table
• Food trucks are available on site on a cash and carry basis
• The food truck menu is different from the pre-order menu
• Food trucks may experience long lines if food is not pre-ordered

Guest Expectations

To ensure an exceptional experience for all guests:

• Respect all event staff, security personnel, and fellow attendees.
• Follow instructions from your host, platform manager, and event personnel.
• Remain within designated table service and event areas.
• Observe all venue policies and event regulations.

The event maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward disorderly, aggressive, unsafe, or illegal behaviour. Guests who violate event policies may have privileges revoked and may be removed from the venue without refund.

Code of Conduct

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests:

• Treat fellow attendees, staff, performers, and neighbours with respect.
• Follow all event signage and designated pedestrian routes.
• Use only designated entry and exit points.
• Remain within approved event grounds.
• Follow all instructions from event staff, security, police, and emergency personnel.

The event maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment, aggressive behaviour, disorderly conduct, illegal activity, and unsafe behaviour of any kind. Violations may result in immediate removal without refund.

There will be police present at the parking locations, the walkways to the venue, and the venue itself.

Prohibited Items

The following items are not permitted:

• Weapons of any kind
• Illegal substances or narcotics
• Large bags, backpacks, or oversized purses
• Umbrellas
• Selfie sticks
• Professional cameras or recording equipment
• GoPros and similar recording devices
• Large hats or obstructive costume pieces
• Outside food or beverages
• Water bottles (including empty bottles)
• Any item deemed unsafe by security personnel

Security reserves the right to confiscate prohibited items and refuse entry where appropriate.

Dress Code

Guests are encouraged to embrace an elevated summer event style.

• Light jacket recommended

Please avoid excessively casual or inappropriate attire.

Accessibility

The event site includes accessible entrances, accessible washroom facilities, and accessible routes throughout the event footprint. Guest Services personnel will be available to assist attendees with accessibility-related requests and provide information regarding accessible amenities during event operations.

As this is a temporary outdoor event, certain areas or experiences may have inherent accessibility limitations. If you have any accessibility questions or accommodation requests, please contact us in advance of the event and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your needs wherever possible and operationally feasible.

Weather Policy & Event Operations

Taraka Toronto is an outdoor event and will proceed rain or shine.

The safety of our guests, staff, artists, and event personnel remains our highest priority. In the event of severe weather or other unsafe conditions, event activities may be delayed, interrupted, suspended, evacuated, postponed, or rescheduled as determined by Event Management, public safety officials, emergency services, or other authorities having jurisdiction.

Guests may be required to follow instructions from event staff, security personnel, police, emergency responders, or venue management. Event operations will resume only when conditions are deemed safe.

No refunds, credits, exchanges, or compensation will be provided for delays, interruptions, suspensions, evacuations, postponements, or rescheduling resulting from adverse weather, public safety concerns, government directives, acts of nature, force majeure events, or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the event organizers.

If a postponement or rescheduling becomes necessary, ticket holders will be notified with additional details as soon as reasonably practicable.

By attending the event, guests acknowledge that outdoor events are subject to changing weather conditions and operational decisions made in the interest of public safety.

Departure Information

To ensure guest safety and efficient crowd movement, departures will be managed through a controlled exit process.

Exit Procedures

Guests must only exit through the two dedicated exit points:

• Primary exit — walkway alongside Biidaasige Park towards Don Roadway
• Secondary exit — walkway alongside Biidaasige Park towards Cherry Street

• Guests must follow staff directions and posted signage.
• Staggered departures may occur in 10–15 minute intervals to assist with crowd management.
• Biidaasige Park is strictly off-limits to event attendees.
• There will be police present at the parking locations, walkways and the venue itself.

Parking Notice

All vehicles must exit designated parking areas after the event concludes. Overnight or post-event parking is not permitted.

Guest Services

Guest Services will be available throughout event hours to assist with:

• Lost & Found
• Missing Person Assistance
• Guest Support Services
• General Event Assistance

If you require assistance at any time, please visit the nearest Guest Services location or speak with an event staff member.

Outdoor Event Acknowledgement

By purchasing, scanning, or using a ticket to enter the event, guests acknowledge that this is an outdoor event taking place on temporary event grounds and that conditions may differ from those found in permanent indoor venues.

Guests understand that weather, ground conditions, temporary flooring, grass, gravel, asphalt, lighting conditions, event infrastructure, and pedestrian traffic may vary throughout the venue. Guests are expected to exercise reasonable care, remain aware of their surroundings, wear appropriate footwear, and follow all instructions provided by Event Management, security personnel, emergency responders, and venue staff.

By entering the event, guests acknowledge these conditions and agree to conduct themselves in a safe and responsible manner while attending the event.
